London's Automotive really stood by their promise to warranty their work. Recently they put in a clutch kit, flywheel, and rear main seal in my son's 2006 Honda CR-V. Not long after a very slow leak started to develop of oil on the driveway. They looked at it, added some UV dye, had him drive it around for awhile, and determined that it was the rear main seal was leaking. They went back in an installed a new rear main seal, which means pulling the transmission and clutch all out again. It has been 4 months now, and no more leak on the driveway. I am very happy to know they did not try and explain away or minimize the problem. They went back in and fixed the faulty seal at no charge. Hats off guys!!!

Aaron, I am sorry that this visit did not meet our high standard nor yours. We have tried to reach you by phone on 3 occasions and would still like to make this right for you. I have conducted a thorough investigation to determined where we failed and have some information for you. The failure on our part was a communication miss-step. If you will please refer to you inspection photos you will see in the before pictures that these conditions existed before we worked on the car and were noticed during intake inspection. Our failure was in not curing this issue or at the very least conveying the situation to you. This breakdown occurred at the end of a very busy day -although this is no excuse, just what occurred. If you could contact us I would like to get the vehicle in and do a thorough, no charge , check over to insure that everything is correct and resolve these issues. Again we apologize for the inconvenience. Bob

Took the car in because it was shaking at start up and the check engine light came on. I told them I suspected it was a recurring issue and that I already replaced the spark plugs for it only 4,000 miles ago. They charged me the full diagnosis fee ($250) just to tell me that the spark plugs look fine but they would suggest replacing them again. Ended up taking the car into the dealership and they diagnosed it with a leaking head gasket. Overall, service was entirely too expensive and the diagnosis was sloppy and lazy.

London’s gives a full diagnostic and then sends it to you digitally for you to review each needed repair and individual cost of parts + labor. They even take pictures and upload them as well. So impressive and changes the entire car repair experience as the client.

2026 Once again London’s came through for me, figuring out what to do for a difficult problem. My 2009 Hyundai (bought new) had a brake line failure. As my daughter left Winco she noticed that suddenly the brakes had become spongy. We managed to drive the car to London’s and left the car there. Next day London’s found that a short rubber section near the master cylinder had split . (Apparently the rubber section is used to dampen vibration that might otherwise fatigue the metal lines and make them crack). They contacted Hyundai for the part(s) and it turned out Hyundai had stopped making spares for that older model! My (perhaps cynical) interpretation is they’d rather absorb the cost of an occasional accident and possible injury or death than spend money to address this known problem! Without this part, the car would be a boat anchor. So no more Hyundais for me! Anyway, London’s managed to find a race car engineer/machinist in Indiana who was able to create a custom replacement! First London’s sent pictures to confirm he could make it and then sent the broken part for him to copy. About a week or so later they got the part and fixed the brake line! London’s may not be the cheapest in town but they are serious and very capable people! So they’re a five star operation in my book – I’ve been going there since Dean London owned the place. Since then Bob Thayer picked up the baton and stepped up their game to the next level! 2025 Again brought in my 2028 Subaru and 2009 Hyundai for annual checkups, LOF, some repairs.. Had particularly positive experience with respect to bill. As I was filing the bill I noticed it was substantially higher than estimate from Oct 2024, and so I called them about it. They carefully reviewed latest bill. While repair procedures and costs had changed from last year, they also found a mistake. They called me back and are refunding me the over payment. In other words they took the time to recheck and make it right, just as their ad says! 2024 I wrote the review below in 2023 but it is just as valid today (Oct 14 2024). London's continues to be a great place for our cars - a Hyundai and a Subaru. 2023 London’s Auto has been my go-to repair shop for at least 15 years (well before Bob took over from Dean London). They’ve done major repairs (e.g. replaced transmission in older Subaru). Medium repairs (e.g. diagnosed and replaced alternator on Hyundai – August 2022). Larger maintenance jobs (e.g. brake jobs) . And lots of smaller repairs and regular maintenance. I fully trust their judgment, honesty, and fair pricing - and Bob has been on a continual improvement and modernization path ever since he took over years ago. Whether you have an older car or a newer one, they treat each repair professionally. I recommend them to anyone with no hesitation.

I recently had my manual transmission Kia Soul serviced here. Due to the peculiarity of my vehicle, there was a minor mix-up, but they were incredibly responsive and genuinely cared about getting the job done right. They quickly got my car back in and went completely above and beyond with a full fluid flush to ensure everything was perfect. It's hard to find a shop like this that is clearly invested in helping me maintain my vehicles for the long haul.

I brought my car in for a wheel bearing noise diagnostic. Without prior written authorization, I was charged a $194 diagnostic fee PLUS $43 in shop supplies — on top of the ~$360 repair cost. These fees are charged completely separately from the actual repair, meaning you pay ~$237 just to be told what's wrong, regardless of whether you proceed with the fix. When I questioned the charges, the manager withdrew my online estimate so I could no longer access it. After pushing back and showing up in person, the price dropped to ~$170 — significantly less than the $237 quoted by phone. While I appreciate the final reduction, the experience felt manipulative: charging without upfront written authorization, withdrawing the estimate, and only reducing price when I appeared in person are not trustworthy practices. For comparison, another auto repair in downtown charges ~$370 ALL-IN for the same repair with no separate diagnostic or surprise fees. First-time visitors beware — always ask upfront about ALL fees before leaving your car here.

London's was absolutely amazing! I brought my car in on a Wednesday night when they were closed and was easily able to drop off my key and my information. I received my car's diagnosis and the estimate all before 11:00am the very next morning. They sent me a link to view my inspection results which was very easy access and understand. By the late afternoon of that same day, they had my car ready to be picked up! I received 3.5% off my total cost and $40 off the next time I bring my car in. I would recommend Londons to anyone, they were so helpful, extremely quick, and did a very thorough inspection on my car.

I had a great experience with this automotive shop. I brought my car in for annual maintenance and ended up also needing new struts and a bar replaced. The team was professional, thorough, and took the time to explain what was needed and why. The work was completed efficiently, and my car now drives noticeably smoother and more stable. I really appreciated their clear communication and the confidence they gave me in the quality of their work. It’s not always easy to find a shop you trust, but this is definitely one I’ll return to and recommend to others.

London’s is absolutely great! When I originally brought my old, rusty Prius to them, I forgot to tell them it couldn’t be put on a 4-point jack or it’d puncture the car due to rust. Some shops would put it on the jack and puncture it without checking, but not London’s! They give a great complimentary inspection with photos for every service, and even though they can’t do everything for my car due to the need for a drive-on jack, I’ll still bring it to them for everything that they can do. Their prices are very reasonable (Clayton’s quoted me DOUBLE what London’s charged for an oil change) and they do oil change punch cards! I just wish I could bring my car here for everything!

I was able to get an appointment for oil change very quickly and the price was comparable to other state from where we moved. Everyone in the office were very polite and professional. They gave their honest opinion on things that need to be changed and services that can wait which was significantly reasonable than taking it to a dealer who quoted 3K for all the series which could wait. I think we've found our go to auto shop in Corvallis!!

I brought my Prius in for a check engine light and oil change. When I pointed out an error that had been made in the inspection, the team went above and beyond to make it right. Four points for honesty and customer service! Minus one for the original mistake, and overall high cost.

I sure wish there were 10 stars to give. I just picked up my jeep from London's today and the service from the initial estimate to this has been outstanding. Now maybe it's because I've dealt with dealerships my whole life but the feeling I have today was like having my best friend work on my vehicle. First off, they actually answer the phone when you call. No speaking to a machine first, which is so annoying. And I can't tell you how amazing Amy was when she got back to me with my estimate. Considering I had no idea why my serpentine belt broke she gave me worst case cynerio so I wouldn't have sticker shock. Gave me the breakdown for all my other concerns on future maintenance too. Then once they got the jeep in the shop they gave her a good going over. The thing that tripped me out the most, and the reviews are all correct, they send you pictures and give you a full diagnostic of everything that is wrong, all the things they tested that are good too and everything else in between. They give you a priority list so you can plan future things into your budget. Not like the dealerships who come out with a list a mile long of everything you need to get fixed and make it seem like it needs to be done right then and there or your car will never move again. You know, you've all been there at least one point in your life. After being at London's I will never use another dealership again. Plus for you women out there who may not know a lot about cars, they're not gonna treat you like one. Like I said, I feel like I just had my best friend work on my car. So customer service wise, I'd give Rob and his staff 20 stars. Kudos guys!!! Keep up the good work 🙂 See you in 3,000 miles. I can't change the oil myself for that price. Time is money in my book and you saved me so much. Thank you so much for the positive experience ☺️

This was the best experience I have ever had with a mechanic. From start to finish the whole process was seamless. They provided very accurate quotes from the day I set up an appointment and made drop off/pick up so easy with their secure drop box system. The free inspection they provide shows you exactly what your next maintenance might look like and how urgent it may be. Excellent costumer service. 100% recommend and will be back.

Got my car looked at after spending hundreds of dollars fixing my serpentine belt squeal. I was left with missing alternator bolts and tools left inside my engine bay. In the end, I was left with the same persistent issue with my belt. The supposed "fix"was to just overtighten my manual tensioner. Not to replace it or try to even find the root cause. I love going to car shops to get the job done, but I haven't seen such a sub-par job done for a relatively simple task.

Update June 2021: We suffered from memory loss and asked London's to work on our brakes though we had actually had them replaced in February! My husband and I selected this business based on all of the google reviews. My daughter lived in Corvallis and took her car there to have it checked out to be sure it was ready for an 1800 mile journey back to the midwest. We paid a $500 assessment fee to learn that we needed over $2,000 in fixes. When my daughter picked up the car she asked about the ticking she heard and he said he heard it too but never addressed it. When she got back here we took it immediately to a mechanic only to be told the fuel pump needed to be replaced. That was the sound that they heard. During the trip the fuel fumes were very prominent inside the vehicle during the trip. I'm very disappointed that this business did not address an issue that was so obvious with this car.

I brought my Dodge in twice for engine overheating issues, and both times, I was charged over $2,000 in total. Despite the hefty cost, the problem was never fixed. I feel like I wasted both my time and money without getting the issue resolved.

Abdullh, I am sorry to hear that your overheating issue does not appear to be solved. I will reach out to you personally and see if we can resolve this issue. For clarity I have looked into your account and see that you were charged a total of $289.07 in diagnostic charges over two visits, The first which showed no pressure drop or leaking while pressure testing. On your 2nd visit we found a leaking water pump and replaced it at just under $700. Please remember that $526 of the total was 2 new tires installed. You also had $186 in maintenance services. Total amount of both visits was less than $1780. Our Goal is to have satisfied customers and would be happy to look at your car again at no charge to see what is happening.

They actually do the best service in town. They let me park my car before the service date so that I do not have to worry about being late. They started work pretty early in the morning, called me back in hours to see if I need get it fixed or not. The customer service is also wonderful. I was well explained and fully understood what's going on. They gave me papers for future inspection and cost, which means I can be fully ready for it! The guy at the front desk was super nice. For international students around the OSU, truly recommend here! They are very patient, listen to my concern and understand me! Definitely come back when my car needs to be inspected!

Very good experience. They never made me feel like they were up selling me services. If there was anything on the border of needing replaced, they did a great job of explaining what they found, the pros of getting it replaced, and the risks of waiting. When they found a weird noise coming from a part, they sent a video with sound so I could hear for myself. Just overall, good, and honest service! I felt like they really wanted to make sure my car was safe for me and not just trying to sell me unnecessary services. Would definitely come back if I wasn't moving across the country!

Courteous and knowledgeable, they always get the work done in a timely fashion. If there's any possible issues that could arise, they will give you a heads up but not try to push for work to be done that really isn't necessary at the time. I always feel good after I leave because I know they've done the work properly so I can count on my car starting and running properly. One less thing to worry about. Great place!

I had an 01 v6 mustang that I got off of marketplace, needless to say it was used and abused. I sent it in to London's, they were speedy and accurate with their diagnosis. A week after the diagnosis and a lot of hard work I got it back in perfect mechanical order and is now my daily. Her hooves aren't achy anymore and she can finally trot the way she used to.

I'm a long time customer with London's Automotive. They've been servicing and fixing cars for me for over 30 years now. In recent years once our new Toyotas are done with their customer services, typically two years, we switch to London's to get better care than Toyota gives. One example of the better care is a cap for the oil filter. The new Toyotas use plastic caps. After a couple of years the plastic breaks. London replaced the cap with a metal cap which is guaranteed not to break. They found similar solutions for an old 1991 Ford 250 Pickup that I used to drive when the engine started losing oil. They found a plug to fix the leak.

Our neighbor recommended this place and we recently had some pretty substantial work done on our car. They were great in every way. Very clear communication, clear distinction of what work was essential, what recommended, and what could wait for later. Work done promptly (and earlier than promised). They made a follow up call too, to see if everything was in order. One that might be good to keep in mind: they do have a credit card surcharge (which is clearly indicated in their estimate). If the work is relatively major, you might want to get some cash (check, debit card) ready to save on that.

Absolutely excellent service and attention to detail, and courteous, outstandingly respectful throughout. We had over 3 months dealing with local service at a car dealer and they said the issue was “gremlins”, no joke , after three separate visits to them about car dying, basically in middle of the road (once on I-5), It was traumatic. At the final “death” I was towed to Londons. It was heavenly relative to the recent past dealer service experience. Our 2015 van had slightly less than 140K, and after three months since Londons service, it is going strong, accelerating a little too fast (for my tastes frankly ;). No issues since. If anything does come up? I now know the only place where I will take it….London’s for the rest of this van’s life.

Went in with some battery trouble and asked them to replace my battery. They did not replace my battery. Instead they kept it there for several days, cleaned the area around the battery, and told me that was the whole issue. For going at my battery with a brush for a few minutes, they charged me $180. A month later, my battery stopped working yet again. Gigantic waste of money. Feel like I was scammed. Do not go here.

London's quickly diagnosed a major problem that two other shops had missed. The oil cooler/filter housing was damaged and didn't properly seat the filter. Twice this caused a major oil leak that left my daughter stranded. Other shops overtightened the filter to compensate, London's actually fixed the fault. When we picked up the the car the shop owner even scraped the frost off the windshield at 7 am on a 24 degree morning!

My husband and I have been taking our cars and trucks to London's Automotive, INC. since it started business. We have always received quality service in every way. The technicians take pride in their work and they have the latest equipment to do the job. You never have to worry about getting 'ripped off' for jobs or parts that were not needed. Honesty is their policy. Any problems found are clearly explained along with the cost and parts of fixing it. Not only do they take personal care of your vehicle, they personally care about you. Here's a heart warming example. The morning of June,2022, my husband and I brought my 2016 Suburban in for a job. That night, I lost my wonderful husband of 56 & i/2 years. When my son took me in to pick up my Suburban, Bob Thayer, the owner, (who you will find out in the shop working right along with his men,) came out to hug me with great sympathy at our loss .I could feel and see the the pain and hurt he also felt. Bob refused to let me pay my bill which was quite large fixing the problem in my old rig. Over the years Bob had given Gene sound advice on our vehicles and it was always right. I have a 2003 CRV. The light for the oxygen sensor had popped up on the dashboard. London automotive changed it. Unfortunately the day after I retrieved the car, the light is back on! :-( Service was very nice but I hope it's just a matter of the light to be turned off because the engine was really running rough before the oxygen sensor was replaced and I hope it is not any more. I need to drive it a bit to see. A few days later: it was not that simple. They did give me a different sensor but the engine was running really rough when it was idling or running cold. I left the car at London's Automotive for a few days so they could try it when the engine was cold to observe how bad it could be. They worked on it and the problem seems to be fixed. Again, very friendly service, really wanted to fix the problem but had not realized there was more than just the dashboard light being the problem.

The best thing about LONDONS is their quality of work. They are top notch mechanics & there work shows that. They have done significant jobs on my vehicle and they will be doing all my work in the future. They also use NAPA parts which are great quality. And those parts have a 36,000 mile warranty. They are very clear on their prices. Every mechanic shop has a markup on parts, but here there more reasonable about their part mark up. They have none of the negative stereotypes that come with mechanics this is a legit PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS w/competent mechanics. Their prices are what you would expect from a proper professional business. There super nice and willing to explain things.

Best automotive care in Corvallis - I’ve been here for oil changes, inspections, alignments, and everything else in between. Their communication is amazing, always updating me on my car promptly. As a woman, I’ve been screwed over by plenty of mechanics, but I feel genuinely cared for here. Also, sometimes they bring their dogs to work and they are super sweet and cute.

Brought in a van for transmission relearn, they got it scheduled and worked on quickly, I was impressed with their text based system that allowed the service writer to communicate with me in a clear manner and allow me to choose what fixes I wanted done on the car and approve those on my time schedule from my phone, over all, very impressived.

Excellent Automotive Shop! Reasonable rates with crystal clear quotes outlining in detail any and all work needed. The front staff made me feel comfortable and answered all my questions. Even allowed me to pass notes to the mechanic about my specific situation. They offered a written diagnosis with each element outlined separately allowing for clear work to be selected to have performed or decline a repair based on what I wanted. The text/online feature helped me keep track of details and helped make the tepair process really fast. Pictures of my vehicle were provided during the inspection and allowed me to see not only what needed serviced but to which part they were referring. This auto shop has set the new standard for customer service and quality of work. I will definitely be taking any future repairs needs to London's Auto as my first option.

Londons is a first rate shop. The mechanics always do superb work. Very thorough. Their prices are steep, but I figure that you get what you pay for. This time however I was charged a $100 diagnostic fee for something I had already diagnosed. All that had to be done was confirm it. I doubt that took 10 minutes. Hardly worth 100 bucks. I believe that should have been included in the repair. Will I continue to use Londons? Yes, definitely. But if I receive a $100 charge to tell me that my oil is dirty, I will complain.

We always want to make sure to test or inspect each part of the system before moving forward so that we don't miss or overlook a multiple component failure in order to provide an accurate estimate. I repaired the brake system and the blow motor. They were very kind to explain me what are causing problems and which I can prioritize to fix within my budget. I will visit again if another problems occur to my car.

Great communication and attention to detail. I go to them for my tire rotations, and I've gone twice for a tire patch. Once, the patch didn't hold (these things happen) and it gave way the same day, but I took the vehicle back and they re-patched it for no additional charge. They also have a rewards program for returning customers, which come to about 6% paid back to the customer in the form of gift cards.

Today come here again for new appointment and I just mention my magical sunglasses disappear from last service. Their front desk questioned me why I came back if I didn't trust their technicians and told me the door was there. I just mention my missing sunglasses and they want me to leave. I never slandered their technical staff I just praised this as a magical place. If you don't want to lose something and get better service, save money, PLEASE GET AWAY from this magical place. Otherwise they will take your money and tell you where their door is.

I'm responding to thank Bob and his staff for my alternator repair on July 28th. I was 2 hours from home, broke down and stranded. They worked overtime to get me repaired. The amazing thing is that you guys didn't "Gouge" me or take advantage of my siutatuon by overpricing. Also thanks for the "follow-up" text 5 days later to see if everything with the car was okay. ------- nice to see that compassion and integrity still exists in our great country.

London's was professional, friendly, and thorough during my oil change with tire rotation. They were upfront about cost, didn't upsell or add services I didn't want, and even noticed my tire pressure sensor was defective and fixed it for me while doing the tire rotation (it had been annoyingly blinking for three years). Sitting in the waiting area and listening to both staff and customer interactions, I felt communication was friendly and honest, and that staff really care about providing quality service. Would highly recommend.
